NFL Pass Interference Replay Review
May 27, 2026
Pass interference is one of the most subjective and consequential calls in football. A single missed call can end a season, as the 2018 NFC Championship game demonstrated.
This proposal would allow coaches to challenge pass interference calls — both flags thrown and flags not thrown — with the same challenge system currently used for other plays.
A sky judge with access to multiple camera angles would review the play and make a final determination within 90 seconds.
